It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like a Tudor Estate

A Man's Home is His Castle

The fireplace in the great room nearing completion.

The completed work-of-art.  All the trim work was done by hand.

This type of work is only seen in some of the finest homes.

The guys have spent a lot of time in the "sunroom" as we call it.  It has been completely renovated.  New flooring, insulated crawl space, new woodwork.  As you can see by the pictures a lot of work goes on in here.  It will by far be one of the best rooms in the house.

The guest bathroom and shared bathroom upstairs now has both the swanstone tub surrounds and the Carrera marble sink tops.  The ceramic tile has been added to the floor.  You can't tell very well here, but the color on the wall and floor is a very light grey.

New lighting in the alcove above the great room.

Rapidly becoming one of my favorite rooms - the master bathroom.  This is the shower and the Travertine stone flooring and wall tile.

The Wainscoting Starts in the Dining Room

The house really begins to take shape at this point.  Everyday brings enormous changes.  We are getting close to completion.

Cabinets Are In! 2/25/2015

Oh Happy Day!

The stone in the sitting room was extended to cover the entire wall.  My goal is to make this area look like 'ye ole tavern'.

New Schrock cabinets in the kitchen.   It's starting to look like a house!

Part of the sitting room.  The cabinets in this room will remain open to give it an old look and feel.

Brad inspecting the workmanship.

Vanity in the main bathroom.

Vanity in one of the bathrooms off the bedroom.

Flooring and Trim 2/15/2015

This Part Goes Fast

The flooring in the kitchen, dining room and office is down.

They've started the trim around the windows.

The flooring in the great room was salvaged and relayed.

The mantel piece in the great room is a wonderful piece and the guys were able to salvage it as well.  Can't wait to get it reinstalled!

The doorway with the stained glass looks great.

One window upstairs completely trimmed out.

It Seems to Go So Slow! 09/01/2014

This Part Takes the Longest

09/01/2014

Putting in the wiring.

Duct work for the heating and cooling.

Repairing the water damage to the fireplace.

New floor plan for the bathrooms and the laundry room.

Sometimes I think they just like to rip holes in the ceiling!

Adding plumbing.

The outside looks much better.

The foundation was completely dug up, waterproofed and gravel was added.  The basement is completely dry now.

The back patio was removed and needs to be completely replaced in the spring.
